Eleanor Roosevelt told her own story in various places. In addition to the “My Day” columns, she published her autobiography in magazine installments, in multiple volumes, and finally in an abridged form as Eleanor Roosevelt, Autobiography (1961, reissued as The Autobiography of Eleanor Roosevelt, 1992).
